Prince Rupert ... Third Deepest Natural Harbor in the World

Tied up here in Cow Bay at the Prince Rupert Rowing & Yacht Club (not exactly what you envision when you think of "yacht club") ... we are impressed by the traffic going through this harbor. As the first point of entry when coming into Canada from Alaska, we see all kinds of marine traffic coming through.

Engelenbak happily at dock at PRR&YC
With a population of 18,000, this is also one of the largest "cities" we will be in for a while.

The marina is filled with a mixture of fishing boats, pleasure boats, tour boats ... and some just plain sad boats looking for more attentive owners.

The waterfront is lined with shops and restaurants .... nice to get out and have someone else do the cooking for a change :)

Leaving in 2 hours for Alaskan waters ... anchoring in Foggy Bay tonight before clearing customs in Ketchikan.
